Andre is using his passion and talent for mountain biking to raise funds for Ingane Yami. He is currently in the process of training for the Hill to Hill Race which is in September 2011 (an 105km offroad event from Hilton to Hillcrest, SA) and has committed to doing a training ride to raise funds for Ingane Yami. He will be riding at Giba Gorge doing laps of the courses and hoping to complete 100km. He will start at 6am on 2nd May and should be done later that afternoon. He has already secured his first sponsors and is looking for many more people to sponsor his incredible efforts to raise funds.
“I felt Ingane Yami is a project we can all get involved with and make a difference in our community. We need to start somewhere. Being a Christian, to me means helping those less fortunate than oneself and teaching them to follow God by leading as an example. Doing this shows others that we do not just talk about these things, but make them happen. If everyone made a small difference, together we could all make a massive difference. Always remember, what we are, and what we have, has been given to us by God. We should be thankful for this and be using these gifts to further his Kingdom.”
