It is a few days before the Easter weekend and the homes are near completion, with just a few last finishing touches to be taken care of before the builders move off-site. I was moved with emotion as I looked at the beautiful houses and thought about the many lives that are going to be changed forever in this place. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery I was reminded of what a privilege it has been to be part of this amazing journey - to have been personally involved with so many different people from far and wide who have been moved by the vision and compelled to respond. I could picture precious lives that are going to flourish and thrive in these homes filled with love, lives that despite the dreadful circumstances of their past are certain of a new hope and a new future. One filled with unconditional love, security, belonging and purpose. God's best for each of His precious children. For ultimately they are all His children - "Ingane Yami".
In the next few weeks that remain before our first familes will move in we will focus our attention on painting and furnishing the homes, and the training of the first foster mothers. We will keep you posted….
