FutureWorks! has assisted the Ingane Yami Children’s Village by undertaking the Environmental Impact Assessment for the project, and obtaining the necessary environmental authorisation needed for it. Because they knew that the cost of such a study would displace much-needed funds for the construction of the Children’s Village, they undertook this process at their own cost.

Futureworks! is a group of environmental professionals committed to sustainable development. They have worked for the past 12 years on various planning and development projects in the area where Ingane Yami Children’s Village is to be established. “It has become a place to very close to our hearts. We recognise that for a positive future in South Africa, one of the greatest needs is increased availability and quality of care for vulnerable and orphaned children. In undertaking the environmental work for this project, we have contributed in our way to maximising the environmental, economic and social sustainability of the Ingane Yami Children’s Village, which is a very important and valuable initiative for the people in the area.”
