Denise Peace, United Kingdom

Denise and her family first heard about Ingane Yami Children’s Village while on holiday in Spain – they were moved by the plight of children in South Africa and were inspired to get involved! “We are so proud to be a part of this and hope we can help make a difference. As a child minder in the UK I am very aware of how lucky my children are and so it is great to get them involved with the fundraising events – they are very excited.”
Denise has a number of fundraising events lined up – they kicked off with a Race Night at their local club on Sat 2nd July 2010 and have plans for a fashion show and car boot sale amongst others things. Denise realises that it is not only about the fundraising but also playing her part in raising awareness in her local community and inspiring others to get involved in some way. Their aim is to raise £1000 over the first 12 months.
“Who knows, one day my husband and I may get to visit the village - that would be amazing.”
