We acknowledge that in order to raise healthy, happy, secure children, it is essential that their lives are based on solid Christian foundations. The village is a place where Christian values form the basis for the development of community members, staff and children; enabling them to reach their full potential. Our mission is to see each child rooted and established in the Christian faith, fully restored and secure in the knowledge of who they are and their purpose in life.
The establishment of Godly principles within each home falls under the responsibility of the housemother, supported closely by the Village Director. The housemother has the freedom to decide how to incorporate activities such as daily devotions, prayer time, individual mentorship and church involvement into the flow of her family life. It is the role of the Village Director to lead and guide the families; as active role models they will impart Godly morals and Christian values through close personal interaction on a daily basis.
Restoration of Hope was birthed from the heart of Roger & Yvonne Grieg, the lead pastors at Kloof Harvest Church and thus as an organisation, it shares the spiritual vision of Kloof Harvest: "changing lives, changing the world through the transforming power of Jesus Christ". We acknowledge that by our “fruit” we will be known as followers of Jesus Christ. We believe that to change the world starts with changing our own lives so that we reflect Christ’s glory in our daily walk. Constant prayer and worship will form part of corporate governance and management.
All staff will be trained and mentored to operate in love, humility, service and grace in order to better equip them to effectively raise the children in their care. In everything, we acknowledge the great love of God that is toward us. As we freely receive His love so we will be able to freely give of His love to others.
