Abandoned. Merely a statistic, a number, what chance of a future, death seeming more imminent than life. Rejection , pity, brokenness and shame, all words that plagued my early days but too young to understand the meaning and the effect they might someday have. Unknown, alone, without father, mother or home. Who will have me? surely no-one, why would they? each to himself – the world has enough cares of its own, either greatly troubled or in comfort zones. Nevertheless they care too much about themselves to care about me.
Loved, cherished, embraced, adored and accepted. Trained up in Godliness, disciplined and loved, and set free to be what God called me to be – I am because of what they did. Statistics beaten by love, selfless love, dividing walls crumbled because my parents became Jesus to me. Story of both reality and victory – there are millions of lives waiting for their stories to be told. This is where you come in.
I’m a success story to be told, I am Ingane Yami. I am HIS child, I belong. Who is your Ingane Yami?
