67c Campaign 2019: Best Year Yet!

Posted in: Blog, Fundraising on August 1, 2019

This year’s 67c Campaign was our fourth year running and it truly was the best one yet! Coffee-cup shaped barometers kept track of the accumulative 67 cent donations and how that translated into winter clothing for the Ingane Yami children. The continual rising of the barometers caused so much excitement amongst coffee drinkers and staff alike. Every week, as the barometer was updated, staff would rejoice as we worked our way up the coffee-cup!

We had some new coffee shops come on board, including Makaranga, La Verdure and Ngwenya Coffee Shop, who really embraced the campaign; and of course, we were supported once again by Go Fresh Café, Lineage, Jooma, Highbury’s Capp n Chino and Curro’s The Deck.

The heart was to run the campaign as a collective goal, encouraging the Upper Highway community to work together in order to see our Ingane Yami children clothed in warm winter wear!

The 67c Campaign for 2019 raised R16,200.  This translates to enough funds to clothe 16 of our 18 children!!
