Kids on Wheels: Cycling at Ingane Yami
Posted in: Blog on January 10, 2020

This holiday at the Village was all about the outdoors: specifically, cycling!
Our Village Pastor, Bheki Masikane, turned into a cycling coach; trying his best to coral all 17 children on their bikes and keep the little ones upright! Some children have been riding for a while, thanks to the team from KZN Cycling Development, but have never had a bike of their own to practice on. Only our oldest child, Andile, had the privilege of practicing his skill’s on his very own bike given as a gift from the FRTA riders for this birthday last year.
Now, thanks to generous people in the community, we have enough bike’s for every child to have a spin! We received numerous donations throughout the year: 10 new girls bikes from the Rotary Club, 3 beautiful gently used-bikes from a local family, and another 2 gently-used bikes from individuals. Thank you for your generosity in thinking of us! Your charity and kindness has made a huge impact in the lives of our children! If you any donations in kind to donate, let us know!
Who know’s, we may have some future FirstRand Trans Africa cyclists in our midst’s!
