We are always looking for fun, new ways to connect our child sponsors to life here at the Village. We feel it is so important for connections to be built, for sponsors to tangibly be able to take part in the lives of our children, and to see first-hand the impact their sponsorship is making.

This term, we trial-ran a mini-hockey tournament, by inviting a handful of child sponsors and their families and friends to make-up 6 teams, adding our moms and kids in the mix to keep it fun.

It was SUCH a success! We had moms who had never played hockey before get on the field and give it a try! We had children teaching children new skills, and connecting in a way only kids can! We had people who had never been to the Village come and see and learn what it is we’re doing here. Everyone had the most incredible time.

Thank you to Lana van der Zee from Thomas More and Steve Garret from Hillcrest Primary for being our referee’s for the evening.

We’ve marked our next mini tournament for Friday 12 July and Friday 26 July.

If you would like to be involved, please contact Patricia at tricia@inganeyami.com
