Mandela Day Soccer Tournament 2022

After 2 years of having to cancel our beloved Mandela Day Soccer Tournament, we were BACK on this July, and we had a BLAST!

We invited all of our major corporate sponsors and were amazed at how many were able to attend – SPAR, FLASH, Encore, Engage, Astrapak, Tegwen & Compendium, as well as our sister NPO TruLife, and our community soccer side, Siyaya.

We added a different dynamic this year by slotting 1 of our kids into each team. The kids absolutely loved being able to play! And it was so special to see them connect in such a personal way with our sponsors.
In the end, SUPERSPAR Richdens took home the gold!! (for the 3^rd time running!) and 11-year-old Emmanuel, was ecstatic to be a part of the winning team!

A massive thank you to SPAR for sponsoring all of the food and drinks for the event. Thank you also to every corporate who gave their staff the afternoon off to come and connect with us.
