The Countdown Begins for FRTA 2018!

The kick-off to the First Rand TransAfrica 2018 Adventure is less than 2 ½ months away!

The team of 20 riders have been training hard in preparation for the big event. Though deep down, I think they all know, there is not much that can prepare them for the journey ahead.

Starting in Knysna on Monday, May 07, and arriving back in Durban on Saturday, May 19 –the 20 cyclists will travel 12 stages, doing 1200km over some of South Africa’s most diverse and rugged landscape. The adventure will certainly test them physically, emotionally and spiritually; pushing them to the very edge of what they thought possible.

To get them through, they’ll have a team of five support vehicles driving along with them. This team is key to ensure the riders make it through each day.

So keep your eyes out for these flashy vehicle’s driving around Kloof from now until the event takes place.
